NRA TV Talks To Bernie Supporter Killer Mike

[tweet_dis2]NRA TV Talks To Bernie Supporter Killer Mike[/tweet_dis2]

As artists like Paul McCartney, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Demi Lovato and Andra Day made appearances during March for Our Lives demonstrations for gun control this past Saturday, the rapper Killer Mike was on the Internet, explaining his support of gun ownership in an interview with NRATV, the broadcasting arm of the pro-gun lobbying and advocacy organization.

NRA host Colion Noir opens the video by addressing the protesters directly. “What are you really marching for? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like a march to burn the Constitution and rewrite the parts you don’t like in crayon,” he says. Noir goes on to add that “no one can point this out better than Killer Mike.”

So celebs should donate the millions they donated to the march to inner city schools but the NRA doesn’t have to take the millions they give to our politicians and give it to inner city schools? Hypocrisy in its highest form! The NRA lines the pockets of politicians that resist gun reform. So wouldn’t it make sense that if they truly wanted common sense gun reforms it would happen?!?

“Well-regulated” had different connotations when it was written than it has today. Back then it meant well-equipped and well-maintained.

You don't have the big picture about guns, because Bloomberg & Soros want to take away your guns, and turn you into a communist and Bernie Sanders will love to be your leader and control you like you follow Venezuela & Argentina, the eventual outcome.for you

It's very weird. I get Trump ads on your videos! It makes me chuckle some every time I see the same ad.

Just face it Kyle you're wrong about the 2nd amendment. Regulated had a different meaning when the constitution was written. Well regulated meant well armed. Also ", the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." You're so disingenuous and biased on this topic it's disgusting. Oh and March for our lives was a dumb march. They had the right to do it absolutely, but I have the right to call it dumb. 1st amendment ya know?

Kyle your wrong all wrong on the 2nd amendment and I hope you open your eyes and mind on how much a ignorant dumbfuck you made yourself in public. The 2nd amendment for say the well regulated militia and the people have the right to keep and bare arms means truly this a well regulated(trained) militia(people as civilians have the right to keep and bare arms to defend one self, family, and nation against any foreign or domestic(government) enemy that threatens the founding fathers constitutional bill of rights. Also the right is revolution is protected as it's the people's natural right to topple ones tyrannical corrupted government if seem fit and gun ownership protects that right. That's why neoliberals are ripping the semi auto only weapon ownership up so the people pose no threat towards a potential tyrannical government. With out the 2nd amendment all other amendments would be crazy easy to get rid of If disarmed. So Kyle I know your smarter than this so please rethink about the 2nd amendment and think about it as a libertarian who truly know that freedom isn't free it was earned and was fought for in blood.

lol. killer mike?. lol now theres an endorsement. the guy is a babbling idiot.

  14. Belky Hernandez 2 months ago

regulated means trained….the rights of the people….not the rights of the state….not the rights of the federal government…..

The Constitution gives power to some aspect of government it clearly states it. The judiciary does this, the states do that, people can do this other thing

  15. I just shared this comment on the TYT broadcast on the repeal of the 2nd amendment. Yes , its a bit long, but hopefully it will throw some light on the subject,

Some thoughts, and I posted a very, very l o n g comment, more of an article, backed with lots of primary historical and more contemporary facts, not opinions, on this subject of the 2nd amendment. This was on Laura Steiner's YouTube page report from the March for Our Lives rally in Los Angeles of late. I do not have time right now, maybe in a couple of months, I will be out of town on a production project, but go read what I put on there about this issue.
The problem with most liberals and progressives is that we take our talking points and ideas on this from the poor historical education we received for a few generations in school, and especially from the fake liberal media controlled by the fascist corporate media monopoly who have tried to set us up to polly-parrot these views so that we will look stupid.
Being not only a documentary film maker [I also worked in the Hollywood feature and TV film industry too,] but also a professional historian, I have, as a liberal who takes his talking points from the Age of Reason and Enlightenment, my view is a bit different from what most of you have. I think the NRA and most conservatives are full of it when it comes to "gun control" or sensible legislation in general to curb gun violence, but they make a lot of totally true points in their arguments, that is if you actually listen to them instead of shouting them down, as witnessed on the media monopoly too often, its disgraceful. But achieving a more peaceful and content society that is short on violence in general will not be accomplished by trying to dis-arm peaceful citizens and dis-respecting what the 2nd amendment is all about. It take a whole new way of thinking and even our ideas on religion and child training, which will make it more easy to legislate good laws to create the social safety nets needed to help bring about a more content and happy society that lacks an excess of violent behavior.
Anyway, go read what I posted on Lauren Steiner's report. and here are some comments from history that are very "enlightening" on the issue of the 2nd amendment.
And by the way, the typical modern liberal view on the 2nd amendment will never be able to stand up to a fair and open debate as long as the person taking the side of the 2nd amendment is not some straw-man or ignorant bumpkin,

" "An armed republic submits less easily to the rule of one of its citizens than a republic armed by foreign forces. Rome and Sparta were for many centuries well armed and free. The Swiss are well armed and enjoy great freedom. Among other evils caused by being disarmed, it renders you contemptible. It is not reasonable to suppose that one who is armed will obey willingly one who is unarmed; or that any unarmed man will remain safe among armed servants." – Machiavelli, "The Prince" (1532)
(I think this is also found in his work,The Art of War, 18)

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and the keystone under independence. The rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good."
    ~George Washington

"I would gladly agree with all the world to lay aside the use of arms, and settle matters by negotiation; but unless the whole will, the matter ends, and I take up my musket and thank heaven he has put it in my power. Whoever considers the unprincipled enemy we have to cope with, will not hesitate to declare that nothing but arms or miracles can reduce them to reason and moderation. They have lost sight of the limits of humanity."
~Thomas Paine, Thoughts on Defensive War, 1775

"Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments … forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments of the several kingdoms of Europe, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."
    ~James Madison, The Federalist No. 46, January 29, 1788

"When the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually, by totally disusing and neglecting the militia … Why should we not provide against the danger of having our militia, our real and natural strength, destroyed? The general government ought, at the same time, to have some such power. But we need not give them power to abolish our militia."
~ George Mason, Debate in Virginia Ratifying Convention June 14, 1788

"That the People have a right to keep and bear arms; that a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state."
~ From Mason's declaration of "the essential and unalienable Rights of the People", later adopted by the Virginia ratification convention (1788)

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops."
    – Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, October 10, 1787

“Certainly, one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms. […] the right of the citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government and one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible.”
    ~Hubert H. Humphrey, 1960

“….a well regulated militia,” the “security” of the nation, and the right of each citizen “to keep and bear arms,” our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.”
–Senator John F Kennedy in the April 1960 issue of Guns magazine

“As we have seen, the first public expression of disenchantment with nonviolence arose around the question of “self-defense.” In a sense this is a false issue, for the right to defend one’s home and one’s person when attacked has been guaranteed through the ages by common law.”
~Dr Martin Luther King, Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? (Chapter II, Black Power)

"1935 will go down in history I For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future!"
    Adolf Hitler

One other thought here, and this is relevant to those who claim to be a free press or journalists,

"Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. And paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people and sending them off to distant lands to die of foreign fevers and foreign shot and shell."
    – United States V. New York Times ET. Al. (1971)/Justice Hugo Black, concurring.

The biggest part of this debate over his interview, is that everyone, both sides, are ignoring the bigger point he's making. Everyone should watch his entire interview on the Colin Noir channel and make their own judgement as to what they choose to believe.

I rather not listen to rappers talk about politics. They tend to contradict themselves.

  21. xCobraStrikex 2 months ago

Killer Mike is right in all he said. The Left has taken the stance that "if you're not with me, you're against me." So it didn't matter what the topic was, since Killer Mike expressed ideas that go against the grain, the Left had to take a shit on him, regardless of who is right or wrong; which is why people are moving away from the Left. Calling Mike a hypocrite for saying we dont follow everything our Allies do, but follow me or get out of my house, is bullshit. He wants to keep his kids in school, thats a good thing. He's teaching them not to be blind followers for every cause their Allies attach themselves to. And that to think for yourself and be an individual is above group think and identity politics. He armed his daughter so she can defend herself. Most parents leave it to law enforcement to protect their kids, which is stupid, because police usually only show up AFTER a crime is committed. As long as hes paying the bills and taking care of those kids, its his parental right to decide what his kids will take part in and also how to punish them.

David Hogg LOL! You're almost right on all issues but you focus on those issues proscribed to you by the CIA. Let's talk about operation Northwoods and how the CIA planned 9/11 before killing the man who turned it down.

Killer Mike couldn’t even help Bernie Sanders get the black vote against Hillary the way Jay-Z and Beyoncé did for Hillary. Killer Mike killed Bernie Sanders campaign.
